YIN YOGA
For many years I have explored the world and my personal interest in spirituality, health and wellbeing. I have studied a number of somatic modalities, soaking up knowledge and understanding, while also learning to heal my body after burn out.
I have been studying and guiding individuals in somatic practices for over 20 years, specialising in Yin Yoga and offering classes, workshops and retreats in Australia, Argentina and Spain. It is a real joy to share my love of this practice with individuals looking to slow down and experience moments of tenderness with their bodies and breath.
I completed a 200hr Yin Yoga training with Jo Phee and Joe Barnett in 2012,and began teaching in Narrm/Melbourne. I have also assisted Jo Phee in her 2014 Australian training, and attended Sarah Powers Yin Yoga 1trainings in Thailand.
I experienced burn out more than once, during my years working on the frontline as a nurse.. The practice of Yin Yoga has taught me about the importance of slowing down, greeting the body, and inviting the nervous system into a state of rest, in order to heal and maintain my vitality.
Yin Yoga is a somatic practice to feel your way in and out of poses, noting how the movement feel for you inside rather than the asethic look on the outside. I guide sessions that invite indivduals to explore their bodies using soft and gentle movement, long holds and rebounds, combined with breathwork.
